Open to all, the Line Up provides a space to support student wellbeing with a special emphasis on dynamic conversations, peer and role model engagement, and access to physical wellbeing resources such as haircuts. The Line Up occurs twice a month in 2 fashions. One Saturday a month, a barber attends the already established group gatherings where a clinical counselor provides group check-in sessions. The addition of a barber to this space provides a value-add to an already robust program. This scaled approach now offers students the opportunity to engage in a group counseling session and access a textured hair barber specialist. The second fashion of The Line Up occurs on one Wednesday a month with a barber providing culturally relevant haircuts paired with engagement opportunities from men of color role models and other leaders. These role models and other leaders provide career, social/emotional, and other forms of support that promote the wellbeing of men of color on the hill.
