At Denison University, we believe that involvement fosters community. All of our student organizations are open to every student, regardless of background, interests, or experience. Our groups are centered on inclusivity, connection, and shared passions—so explore, engage, and become part of our vibrant community.
The purpose of the BSU shall be to function as a unifying force for all Black students though which they may cooperate for achieving the following mutual objectives: a. To encourage and promote high academic and scholastic standards among all members b. To promote, protect, and support the interests of all members, especially Black students, through active participation in political and governance affairs c. To provide unwavering support for all members especially Black students within the Denison University community in all facets of their matriculation d. To function as a source of interaction between the Black faculty, staff, administration, and the BSU membership e. To function as a vehicle through which all Black students can maintain their social identities f. To function as a community service organization g. To function as a place of instruction and knowledge for the Denison community at large
