February means it is DCGA finance time.

Please ensure you read this message in its entirety and relay relevant information to your organization members!

  2023-2024 DCGA Budget Requests due February 13th

Campus organizations requests for DCGA funding for the 2023-2024 academic year are due Monday February 13th at 11:59pm EST.

Questions? Email dcgafinance@denison.edu to connect with Bryan Burns, DCGA Finance Chair or Loren Gonzalez, DCGA Treasurer. You are also encouraged to review the current DCGA Funding Rules in preparation of your budget requests.

DCGA Finance Commitee Office Hours

the DCGA office is located on Slayter third floor to the right of the stage
 
The DCGA Finance Committee wants to ensure that all budgets are correctly formatted and structured so that they can be readily evaluated. The DCGA Finance Committee has arranged drop-in office hours during the following times:
Tuesdays from: 4:30-6:30pm
Fridays from 11:00am-1:00pm
Fridays from 2:00-4:00pm
 
We encourage taking advantage of these office hours to ensure that all organizations have their budgets correctly organized and that everyone knows the budget request procedure and the DCGA Funding Rules. All 2023-2024 Budget Requests are due Monday February 13th at 11:59pm EST and there will be no exceptions for late submissions of budget requests.

Submitting Your Budget Tips & Tricks

  1. Make sure your drop down menu is set to DCGA 2023-2024 Allocations
  2. When ready, hit + Create Budget Request
  3. Read through the DCGA Finance Funding and Budget Allocation Rules as you prepare to submit your budget.
  4. Stop by the DCGA Finance Committee Office Hours before February 13th!

Social Event Manager Training

Want to learn all about being a Social Event Manager? Come and find out!
  • Be informed about your rights and responsibilities, should you choose to serve as a Social Event Manager (SEM)
  • Understand how to successfully manage a party or social event
  • Know how the Code of Student Conduct and the Social Event Management Policy applies to your responsibilities as a SEM
  • Recognize the signs of alcohol poisoning and be able to respond appropriately
  • Know how to respond to a party or social event that becomes difficult to manage
  • Walk away from training with a tangible, easy to implement, risk management plan

Kyle Fowler

Associate Director, Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life

Kyle advises the Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) and National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC). He also supports a portfolio of chapters over the four councils, provides oversight to FSL facilitties, and works with cross-council programming and education.

Darius work primarily with our C3 (cross-cultural student organizations) to provide general advising and support in their efforts to create welcoming and inclusive events, programs and initiatives on campus. Darius can support in creating identity- or culturally-based programs centered around marginalized or intersectional social identities.
