Details
ALL campus organizations are required to send at least two representatives (you may attend for more than one org). The format of the training will be:
4:30-5:20pm - Campus Org Leader Essentials - Option #1*
5:30-6:20pm - Education Session Block
6:30-7:20pm - Campus Org Leader Essentials - Option #2*
*Campus Org Leader Essentials will be offered twice to accommodate students' schedules. This session will include university policy updates, What to DU essentials, budgets and finances, making purchases for your organization, etc. Students only have to attend one or the other for this session.
Dinner will be provided to students who registered in advance.
Students are asked to registered for their preferred Campus Organization Leader Essentials (Option #1 or #2) and one Educational Session at 5:30pm.

To help support the success of our campus organizations and their leaders, CLIC staff will provide you with all the basics that you need to start the semester strong! This session will include information about campus policy updates, What to DU, submitting event/vehicle/tabling requests, managing budgets, advisor support, etc. Student leaders only have to attend ONE of these sessions (either at 4:30pm or 6:30pm).
5:30 PM – 6:20 PM
This session will cover strategies for making student organizations welcoming and inclusive spaces for all Denison students. We'll reflect on our own identities to think about the ways that our experiences relate to a sense of belonging.
5:30 PM – 6:20 PM
This presentation is meant to cover different methods of upstander intervention with practical applications for social events, student leadership responsibilities, and other interpersonal connections.

Each year, campus organizations need to recruit new members. This constant churn is a part of doing business - and should be a year-round effort. This session will provide a basic overview of main steps involved in recruitment and provide 25 strategies or ideas you can include in your next recruitment process.

Think your leadership role in a campus org is no big deal? Think again! Employers desire competencies including teamwork, communication, leadership and critical thinking. This interactive session will provide you with strategies to relate your leadership role to future employers.
